The Undersea Naval Innovation through Teacher Education (UNITE) program is a four-week training initiative tailored for students majoring in Elementary Education. Our mission is to deepen elementary teachers’ understanding of naval career opportunities in both engineering and skilled trades, as well as the critical role of undersea technology education. By enhancing teacher awareness, we equip educators with comprehensive knowledge of the diverse career paths within the naval sector, enabling them to effectively guide and inspire their students. Additionally, UNITE provides future educators with the tools and strategies necessary to motivate their students to pursue careers in undersea technology and naval applications. By igniting a passion for naval science and innovation, we aim to cultivate the next generation of naval leaders and innovators.
