NASEC is aimed at bringing together future Navy and Marine Corp officers with students from other colleges and universities across the country in order to learn more about and discuss important scientific and technical challenges currently faced around the world.

This year, the conference’s theme was Genetics: Understanding and Addressing Today’s Challenges. Delegates will engage in conversation about genetic modification and genetic technology, use of genetic data, and genetics in public health. 

Two of UConn’s Navy STEM members were in attendance at this year’s NASEC conference including Navy STEM Crew Vice President, Adeline Smith, and Aubrey Larson.
