Welcome to ANCHOR Pre-Engineering Program (PEP)

ANCHOR Pre-Engineering Program (PEP) is a Saturday enrichment program for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students who are curious about how things are built and how they work!

Through hands-on activities, teamwork challenges, and real-world problem solving, students explore the same science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) concepts that engineers use every day. They’ll also get homework help and opportunities to build confidence and leadership skills.

What makes ANCHOR PEP unique is its connection to the exciting world of submarines and undersea technology. Students learn how the math and science they practice in class connect to the cutting-edge work being done right here in Connecticut to design and build submarines.

By sparking curiosity now, PEP helps students see how their interests in STEM can grow into future opportunities in high school, college, and even careers supporting our nation’s Maritime Industrial Base.
